This is a non-bluetooth lock. Geek Smart does not have this particular model on mobile app. Similar model on app is the L-B202.Quality• The quality of the lock is very good. Brush nickel finish looks good. The handles are well made as well.Installation• Installation is simple. Most handy persons should be able to install without looking at the manual/instruction.• Once the battery is installed and wire connected, the outside handle is by default “unlocked” with any finger. This is important to avoid accidental lock-out during installation.• The springs on the battery compartment are pointed down. When batteries are placed, the spring instantly pops the batteries. It would be better if the springs are more rigid and point straight, which will sit the batteries in proper position.• FCC sticker leaves sticky adhesive after peeling. One suggestion is to use a better adhesive or find another way to place it.Operations – fingerprint set up and deletion• It is fairly easy. The first 2 fingerprints are by default “Administrator”. Subsequent fingerprints are for normal users. Tested up to 2 admins and 4 users – works well. It would be better if one can set up “Admin” and “normal users” separately. E.g. press button 1 time for “Admin” & press button X times for “normal users”.• When someone installs the lock, chances are that the 2 “Admins” are not going to be around during the installation. Customers may prefer to program one “Admin” and add another at different times. The sequencing for programming fingerprints limits the flexibility.• Deleting “normal users” works well, but it does not allow deletion of “Admin”. It would be great if one is allowed to delete and add an “Admin”. Understood that at least one “Admin” must exist at all times.• Deleting users should be selectable instead of requiring the person’s fingerprint you wish to delete. What happens if the person is no longer willing to place his/her fingerprint for the admin to delete. Admin should be able to delete any fingerprint he/she wishes without anyone else present.• The only way to delete any Admin user is to reset in entirety.Normal Operations• Seems to work flawlessly. All users’ fingerprints work. Admin fingerprints work as they should, as in admin capability.• The provided keys functioned well for unlocking. Inquiring minds may be curious to know how many sets of different keys are produced by manufacturing for this model.• Passage mode works well to enable & disable.• Secure-lock works well to enable & disable. Secure-lock also disables the passage mode, which it should be.Run out of power situation• USB power bank works on the lock. Note that the USB must be inserted deep to function properly. It does NOT have a solid connection between the USB-C cable and the lock.• Glad to see that the lock retains the fingerprints during the absence of the power.• I recommend that Geek Smart to close the USB interface with a rubber insert to protect it. Some people may be confused between the USB-C hole and the key-hole. If someone keeps forcing a key in the USB-C hole, I would imagine that he/she could possibly damage it.• I also noticed that if power is out for a long time, the lock becomes unlocked.Manual• Picture error on page 9. All doors (in USA) swing inside but NOT swing outside. The latch should be facing the opposite direction. Otherwise, the door in the picture can never be latched properly. It does the job, it fits well and super easy to add multiple admins, multiple fingerprints, etc.Two things I didn't like - I bought two, and notice that the installation disks on one side had 4 screw holes, but only two screws. The first one I bought had screws that went through the lock and both holes, so no problem! The second one I bought had screws that went "around" the lock and through both screw holes.... unless I installed it vertically? But only one side vertically. Then the screws would go through the lock as well.I guess it's "secure" either way, but going through the lock feels like a stronger installation than without it, so now one side has a vertical handle on one of the two doors I installed with this lock. The second piece I don't like is that the register admin button is on the tip of the lock, so if you open the door and the door hits the wall, it automatically asks for the admin and then loudly BEEPS when you don't answer. I need one of those spring things that people stub their toes in now.Pretty neat locks though. So instructions were clear though it should've been more specific about the small wire setup since I build and work PC's/electronics and I also had to figure out my self that it could fit in that small slit other than that it was not a big deal though you should be very careful and I suggest using a headband flash light while setting up this door handle also It should be noted that it does not have internal rechargeable batteries I did not know that so I had to run to the store and get some so be aware that you may need to replace batteries every so often. Setup process was easy download app then from the app you are able to setup the fingerprint also some of the features in the app should be more user friendly like when you press on certain options it will let you press close/open and say started which was confusing me I believe it should be a check box to enable/disable certain features but for the most part there was no issues what so ever. This finger print locking handle works great and it’s easy to install and program. I also have the other Geek Smart finger print handle and like it as well. This handle doesn’t require the application so all setup and programming is done with the handle using a button and your finger print. It is also a nice looking modern handle and works very smoothly. It took me about 5 - 10 mins to replace my existing handle with this one and I had no issues. My only recommendations for improvement would be to use screws that don’t come all the way out for battery replacement and to allow access via the application.I have several different finger print locks. This was the easiest to install an set up out of all of them. The finger print scanner work perfectly with it reading my finger on the first try 90 percent of the time. I would highly recommend this finger print lock.I installed the door handle, which went relatively easy and it seems pretty solid minus the fact that I wish it came with longer latch screws for more security. I went to download the app (which was the most important feature to me) and it doesn't work. It asks me to create an account by entering my email and creating a password. It then asks to enter the verification code, at which time I select "verify." Once I hit verify, the screen flashes and some Chinese text then pops up. I had to translate the text to figure out what it says and the only translation comes up as "failed." I've tried this on both my android and apple devices. There has been no verification codes sent to my email, therefore I cannot access the app and it's useless since I can't add my fingerprint. I will likely be ordering a different model unless this issue can be fixed.Edit: the app seems to have been down at the time I initially tried to set it up. A couple of days later it was back online and has seemed to have been fine ever since.
