When my first one arrived, it was scratched up all over the inside and some on the outside. I requested a replacement which also arrived all scratched up on the inside. This is due to the packaging. The metal parts used for installation are packed inside the glovebox with no padding and are allowed to bang and scrape the inside of the glovebox. After getting the second one the same way, I realized it was coming like this from the manufacturer. Ok, so I can live with that. It was more difficult to install than it should be and the worst part of this is what they call a lock. It's a lock that uses a barrel key. Problem is, the whole lock rotates in the hole rather than just the locking lever. This was the same again on both boxes. This box has to be locked with the key or it will not stay closed. Therefore, there is no getting into the box if your key is on your key ring and the ignition key is in the jeep. If you want to get into the box when you are driving or stopped at a light or otherwise, you must have the key separate and to make matters worse, it takes two hands to close and lock it. I basically don't use it unless I'm storing something in there with the top down when I'm away from the Jeep. This is useless storage for anything you need frequent access to. I would give it a fourth star if the lock were operable.
